The Next Big Star Contest!

Well we made it to the final 4 of the Next Big Star contest on US95.7 in San Diego. The winner will be opening for Kenny Chesney on 5/29 at the Cricket Wireless Amphitheater.

The battle of the final 4 will be held at the Hard Rock in downtown San Diego on 5/27 at 8pm. Each band/act will get 15 minutes to show their stuff. If you live in San Diego come on down and cheer us on!

Who is "us" you might ask. Well I wouldn't have this opportunity if not for the one and only Laura Roppe. She is the lead singer in my band - CoolBandLuke. She has been recording an album of her original material and the opportunity of this contest popped up. She entered one of her songs called "Mama Needs a Girls Night Out". It's a great song and you can hear it along with the other 3 songs that we will do on 5/27 by going to her website http://www.lauraroppe.com/. The rest of the 8 piece band is made up of musicians from throughout Southern CA.

We will find out that night who the winner is as the concert is just 2 nights after that. Stay tuned for the results!
